Hetzner - DokuWiki
The following IPv4 addresses can be ordered for any dedicated servers:
|Product||Usable IPs||Monthly Price||Comment|
|One additional IP with costs||1||€ 0.84||Max. 6 available*|
|One additional subnet /29||6||€ 6.72|
|One additional subnet /28||14||€ 13.45|
|One additional subnet /27||30||€ 26.89|
*Each IP order via the Robot is for one single IP, so if you need more than one additional single IP please make multiple orders.
We can only allocate a maximum of one /27 subnet, or an equivalent number of IP addresses with /28 or /29 subnets, per server.
Please note that single IPs cannot be ordered for the SX131/290/291.
In addition to the main IPv4 address, all servers also have a /64 IPv6 subnet.
For clients who received their servers before February 2013 this subnet can be ordered (for free) via the Robot, and will be automatically activated.
To order additional IP addresses please login to the Robot administration webinterface, select "Servers" from the menu on the left and then select the server you want the IPs for. The first tab (that should automatically be open) is called "IPs". At the bottom of this tab page you can click on the link titled "Ordering of additional IP, failover IP or subnet". You will now see an overview of the IPs you can order, along with the price for each option.
IPs are only allocated if they conform to RIPE guidelines. This means we require a valid technical reason for why the IPs are needed.
IP addresses are allocated during normal office hours: Mo-Fr 7:30am-5:30pm
You can set the reverse DNS (PTR) record for your IP(s) in the Robot, under the "IPs" tab of your server. To the right of the IP address there is a textbox where you can enter a reverse DNS record. For subnets (IPv4 and IPv6) you'll need to click on the plus button in front of the subnet to see the individual IPs and be able to set reverse DNS entries for them.
Single IPs and subnets can be cancelled via the Robot administration webinterface. Please select "Servers" from the menu on the left and then select the corresponding server. Under the tab "Cancellation" you can cancel the IPs and/or subnets to the next available date.
