Rack for up to 20 dedicated servers (currently not available)
A rack can accommodate up to 20 dedicated servers. This rack has a 24-port Gbit switch built in (without VLAN configuration), so that the dedicated servers are also internally connected in a Gbit LAN and require no additional Gbit NIC.

Upgrades for dedicated servers
The following options are available to you for the upgrade of your existing server to another model:
Standard upgrade in parallel operation
If there is no need to take over the IP address of your current server, you can order the server of your choice via your administration interface Robot at the current terms and conditions (monthly price plus one-off setup fee). In this case you receive a new IP address. You now have the opportunity to migrate data from the existing server.
Should you no longer require the existing server, this can be cancelled in your administration interface Robot under the "Cancellation" tab. Please note that the monthly fee for both servers will be charged during this period of parallel operation.
Upgrade in parallel operation with take over of subnet
If there is no need to take over the main IP or additional single IPs, you can order the server of your choice via your administration interface Robot at the current terms and conditions (monthly price and one-off setup fee). In this case you receive a new IP address.
A rerouting of your existing subnet is not possible in every case. Please would you therefore send a support request to your administration interface Robot under the "Support" tab for the server concerned and select "Other requests"; "Technical product advice". If rerouting is possible, this can be performed by advance appointment between 7:30 am and 4:30 pm from Mon-Fri. Please note that with this option, the Flexi-Pack is necessary for your new server and further ensuing costs are charged for the subnet: http://wiki.hetzner.de/index.php/Preisliste_Zusatzprodukte/en. You now have the opportunity to migrate data from the existing server.
Should you no longer require the original server, this can be cancelled in your administration interface Robot under the "Cancellation" tab. Please note that the monthly fee for both servers will be charged during this period of parallel operation.
Upgrade in parallel operation with take over of all IPs for the existing server
Order the server of your choice via the administration interface Robot at the current terms and conditions (monthly price plus one-off setup fee). You server will be temporarily given a new IP address. Now you have the opportunity to migrate data from the existing server.
Relocation of the new server to the rack space of an existing server is not possible in every case. Please send a support request via your administration interface Robot under the "Support" tab for the existing server and select "Other requests"; "Technical product advice". If relocation is possible without any problems, an appointment can be arranged for this via support request (relocation is possible 24/7). The existing server is dismantled on completion of relocation and immediately cancelled. The new server can now take over the existing server's IP(s). If additional IP addresses are available for the existing server, these are charged at the current rates.
Both servers run in parallel until the physical relocation of the new server has been completed. Before the new server is moved to the rack space of the existing server, we would kindly ask you to adjust the network configuration for your new server accordingly. For this we provide a LARA remote console. Please note that the monthly fee for both servers will be charged during this period of parallel operation. If the existing server has had the Flexi-pack for at least 3 months the one-off moving fee of 69 euros (incl. 19% VAT) is not charged for the relocation.
Upgrade without parallel operation with take over of all IPs for the existing server
Order the server of your choice via the administration interface Robot at the current terms and conditions (monthly price plus one-off setup fee).
Relocation of the new server to the rack space of the existing server is not possible in every case (e.g. the existing server is in DC 6 or the existing server has a standard case and the required server is a Dedicated Root Server EX 8). Therefore, please send a support request via your administration interface Robot under the "Support" tab for the existing server and select "Other requests"; "Technical product advice". If relocation is possible without any problems, the new server is directly brought online at the rack space of the existing server. The existing server is dismantled and immediately cancelled. The new server can now take over the IP(s) of the existing server. If additional IP addresses are available for the existing server, these are charged at the current rates.
If you are interested in an upgrade, please send us a support request with details of the preferred type of upgrade, the IP address of the existing server as well as the product description for the new server.
Prices for redundant rack uplinks
Internet upstream with personal BGP Session (redundant)
Connection with 2 uplinks which terminate in two redundant backbone routers.
This option is for clients with Colocation racks or their own Colocation cages. It is available in DC11 (Data center park Falkenstein) and DC6 (Nuremberg).
Traffic costs the regular additional traffic price: 6.90 Euros per TB
